Also can't wait for the people who gloated about Vita having better battery life than the 3DS to start back peddling with more fanboy horse****.

I'm waiting for a domestic release so I can take advantage of the 3G ****. Infact, domestic Sony products here are Japanese, so I'm wondering if the 17th of December counts me in.
I can't stomach another Ridge at launch, so I'll try UMvC3 instead. I still don't reckon a hand-held will be any good for practicing on, mind. The main reason I'm getting one is for SFxT practice whilst on the way to work and back. Everything else can f off.

You missed out the remake of Ys 4
Tales of innocence R is interesting. Especially given that the most liked DS Tales game was Hearts.
Still, if they do a full remake that fixes some of the issues with the original it'll be worth playing (namely the awful dungeon design). Annoying I lost my save game about 6 hours into the fan translation.
As for the battery life, it matches the original PSP. How good/bad it is depends on if Sony are being honest and games really do give between 3-5 hours or if it's like the 3DS and you'll struggle to hit 3 hours. Given it's a new 4core CPU and 4core GPU and that it has a 5" screen, it was never going to be ultra efficient. Still, it's being manufactured on an old process so there's plenty room for Sony to die shrink in 12-18 months time to improve battery life and reduce weight and cost.
I imagine Samsung will do some generic memory cards that are much cheaper like they do for most Sony formats.
Phenomenal launch line up, it's hard not to see it selling out at launch in Japan

As for the battery life, companies always give overly optimistic figures so we can forget getting any more life out of the Vita than the 3DS gives which on one hand is funny because it will raise some hypocrytical comments amongst the 3DS doomsayers, on the flip side it is more powerful hardware so it's not too bad in a way and I've personally coped fine with the battery on the 3DS so I'll cope here.
