Ooops... sorry, my fault for being unclear.... I mean, I could use the Vita just as the controller? I would have my PS3 there of course, id be hoping to use the vita simply as a controller.

However, saying all that.... now im thinking there's bound to be some add-on that'll allow me to use an Xbox 360 - or whatever - pad.

Pretty sure you're right there. You can use the Vita as a screen and controller.

You can now with the PSP, but you can't play games with it - just use the media functions.

        Purchase confirmed.

I love my 3DS, but i am so so dying to get my hands on Vita. Loved a handful of games on the PSP, if Vita can give me more or less of the same then i'll be one happy chappy. Awesome stuff

I also get the feeling they are much more prepared then the 3DS launch - and Im an Nintendo Fanboy at heart so no trolling, simply just observations. Looking forward to it.

If there's going to be lots of lag, then what's the point?

I got excited by this feature, but then you pissed on my bonfire

Well we don't know anything about latency yet, but this video makes it look impressive. I love the fact you can use it as a controller too... wonder if you could potentially do cross game chat while using the device wit

So... Demon's/Dark Souls in bed? This also makes the 3G option much more attractive.

The latency isn't too bad. I've played ffvii using remote play on my psp and it's fine. Obviously trying to play sfiv is a bad idea though. I think demons souls would be fine! Pixeljunk Eden played well using remote play also.

You have to figure 2 to 3 frames latency?

It does really appeal to me, but in truth I'd rarely play it

I don't know how much latency but people go to the trouble of putting their TVs into game mode for fighting games so that's a no go. Something like white knight chronicles, Fallout, Oblivion. I reckon those would all be playable.

I got my hands on the Vita today. Much lighter than I thought it would be, and flat. Screen really is quality as are the control sticks. Buttons are tiny though. Only managed to play a Japanese title called San Goku Musso and a few tech demos. Just Hmm, I was hyped to get the Vita, but after playing it I realised I don't actually need one with using my iphone for games.

The buttons do look really small. Are they smaller than PSP's?

Oh wow, that video of playing Killzone looks really cumbersome, clunky and uncomfortable. I can just imagine how much the shoulder buttons will suck as triggers and how awkard the back-side touchscreen is to use. Why someone would rather play FPSs with a Vita from a small screen than with a Dual Shock from a TV is beyond me.

Yes. Hope that can be switched off.

I might be wrong, but I thought the flashing was to indicate where you've touched the screen when you use the touchscreen climbing controls?
