pretty cool, I still want a JPN unit though!

Magicbox gave some interesting stats on the Vita. Seems to be having solid pre-order numbers with the 3G version winning out over the wifi. Troubling for Sony, given the losses made per unit, is the software attach rate which currently hovers around 0.5. Not good.

Pretty good date Probably won't pick one up at launch though.
As much as I'm trying to avoid buying consoles on release in the future, this is right around the time I get my yearly bonus....

Gonna have to start working on strengthining my willpower now!

Only going for Ridge Racer on launch I reckon. Someone one will buy me Unchartered for Christmas no doubt.

            Kept you waiting, huh?

Very little between the Japanese and UK price point so I might just keep my preorder open for now. There's stuff I'd play but nothing I'm overly eager on bar Uncharted and that isn't quite looking as good as the console versions. I'll no doubt get it but to be honest, I'm finding the Vita hard to be excited about.

The VITA is something I'll hold off on until there's something I really want out on it. Nothing in the launch window so far.

I'm interested in it from a dev point of view though, would be interesting to see if there's going to be a PSP Vita Mini's storefront I could perhaps target with something. The rear touch panel solves a design problem I've been having with a game design I've been fiddling with on and off for a few years.

Same here...contrast that with me who spent way to much to get an original launch Japanese PSP when it came out. My excitement was out of this world.

The fact is, in the end...I only used my PSP for emulation. I find it difficult to enjoy 3D graphics rich games on a handheld (a few exceptions, notably racers), I much prefered the DS for gaming and my PSP as an all in one emulation device.

As such, I sadly, and believe me, I'm gutted about it, can't get excited about the Vita. I'm sure I will get one eventually but not not now. I only got my Xperia Play relatively recently so I will be sticking with that for a good while yet, in fact forever until I see another phone with a gamepad.

The RRP for the Wi-Fi model is ?229.99. The RRP for the 3G/Wi-Fi model is ?279.99.
At that price, I'm *definitely* waiting.

You could get a PS3 and some games for that price. As good as Vita looks, it's not even a contest.

Most of us already have a PS3 and some games. This is shiny and new! Shiny I tell you!

great news, i didnt expect it to be quite that soon. no need to worry about importing now.

wifi model and a memory card will do. i think i'll get everybodys golf and ridge racer from the online store. two games i'll never get tired of, so they can live on the machine.
