I remember reading a review that said it was unusually difficult to get it to start back up after the battery had gone dead - perhaps it just needs some encouragement.

Hopefully, what do you mean by encouragement, letting it charge for a while?

If the light flashes orange it needs more charge to power up. I find the best way is to just hold the power button and count to seven. If it doesn't turn on then, just hold it indefinitely until it does.

Last pissing time I order anything expensive from play.

Their tracking code when entered into DPD's website brings me back nothing, just got off their premium rate customer service number and some fairly rude sounding asian chap tells me that their (DPD's) website is experiencing technical difficulties.

Surely technical difficulties would indicate as such, as opposed to being told there's no matching tracking for the number....

Phantasmical, yes there are AR cards with the UK Vita but I haven't tried them yet.

Well I got my Vita. It's a gorgeous looking beast. It is big. The screen is amazing. Controls seem good, although I find myself wishing the sticks had a little more resistance. My only issues so far are the poxy network update issues. It wanted to link to my PSN account but wouldn't let me do it until I updated and wouldn't let me update after I went through that process of linking so, bizarrely, it makes me create a temp account before I can even get into the machine? That's just messy.

Well, I'm in now at least. Only had a very quick go of Wipeout as I have too much work to do to give it any time. Wipeout looks pretty amazing though. Frame rate isn't stellar but the quality of graphics from a handheld is very impressive.

Not sure I'm a big touch fan though. Already my screen is covered in fingerprints.

Edit: Oh and I didn't get a case or screen protector and I'm thinking now that I should have... recommendations?

Another edit: One reason to go digital: these games are tiny. I am so going to lose them.
