I see, well the JPN comic store is locked out unless you actually are in Japan. JPN account or not, I CANNOT get any comics. I presumed this would be the same with the USA store.
    Kept you waiting, huh?

Japanese PSPs actually download different software from the other regions.

In Japan it's 'Comic Reader' and in the US/UK it's a different icon entirely entitled 'Digital Comics'. From what I've read the US/UK software actually performs better too.

The Japanese one is just a basic picture viewer that zooms in on the top third of the page, next third and bottom third respectively when you click the right shoulder button. It doesn't take the actual location of the panels into account at all. You'd be as well using the standard picture viewer (except of course you can't as the files are in a proprietary format).

I can actually access and download the US & UK comics despite being in Japan, but the download of the software itself was IP blocked. Not that it matters as it won't install on a Japanese PSP. It seems they went a step further in preventing non-Japanese residents from downloading the Japanese comics and IP blocked the store as well.

Slightly ot and I've looked in the 'Off Topic Forum' and could'nt see a comic thread, so posted in this one instead.

There is a new UK magazine by the makers of the decent SFX magazine and its called Comic Heroes.

The first issue comes in a cardboard slipcase, and contains 3 free gifts, these being, 2000AD Magnets, a mystery Marvel comic (mine was F4) and a double sided poster.

The magazine covers comics(!), graphic novels, movies, tv, games.

Only had a quick look inside, but some of the feature are; History of TinTin, comic icon John Constantine and a retrospective look at Judge Dredd: The Apocalypse War, and an interview Kick Ass writer Jane Goldman.

The mag is published quaterly, and the next issue is due in June.

The only down side is the price. An eye watering ?7.99
