    Ultimately I couldn't get over the controls and they made the game unplayable for me. The developers fundamentally failed at making a fun game.

      a fair balanced write up, not sure the write up is in line with the score but that could be due to my many irks with the game itself, from the time it was announced.

      what I'm not sure about is whether simply fixing the controls would fix everything and make it 'the best game ever' (I know this is a bit tongue in cheek), I suspect with fixed controls people may have given this more than an hour and then discovered the limiting nature of many of the puzzles and the way the same items time and time again can be used to do levels.

      there is a kernel of something really cool here, it undoubtedly needed proper controls and I suspect far better level design.

      with the dictionary nailed hopefully they'll be able to give both the necessary attention for a sequel.
