Remote play

I've recently started using the remote play function, which is surprisingly impressive. Though I haven't had chance to use it yet from afar. Just using a private network to the PS3.

Do any of you use it over the net and get good results?

It only wants to work for me if I'm in my house, and use my own internet connection.
The only way I can get it to work when I'm out is to phone up the Mrs. and make her put my PS3 into Remote Play mode via the XMB, and then find it with my PSP. As she is a right donut when it comes to anything with Play or Station in it's title, I have only experienced limited success.

How do I change them?

I've tried tinkering with it numerous times, with no success. It said I needed UPnP to be available, which I did. My PS3 is also in the DMZ, but still it doesn't work. I've given up on it now
