I liked this review, the endless setlist line made me chuckle. Unlucky!

Apologies if I've misunderstood the question, but Rock Band is widely considered to be quite easy, or at least, far easier than Guitar Hero. Due to the more poppy tracklist, Lego Rock Band is easier still. There's really only one solo in the game that'll destroy people, aside from that hard is doable without a restart by a remotely competent player

It's not deliberately easier than Rock Band, it's just the songs that happen to make it that way.

Ok fair enough, I just don't find Rock Band particularly easy Still yet to finish either on Expert after many many many hours gametime!

Rock Band isn't easier. I hope people who call it easy have gold starred every track as this is what the game strives for rather than trying to make you fail a track as being the gauge of difficulty.

I play trombone, some music is stupidly hard, other music is much easier, I never fail at either regardless of how much I cock up the hard music, does that make playing trombone easy?

Guitar Hero is only harder because the developers went off on a focus of looking for the music with the most strums crammed into the song as possible to give the game difficulty. Rock Band seems to be more focussed on tracks that are just fun to play along to with the gold star ranking being the one to aim for making perfection more important than just strumming as fast as your hand will let you.

Well, it's easier in the sense the RB tracks don't have imaginary notes to hit, and don't throw in ridiculous songs from the world's best guitarists playing a hundred notes a second.

However, GH is a lot easier to play than RB, as there's a much larger "window" to hit the notes than in RB. I can do some fast solos in GH that I couldn't touch in RB where timing is more precise.

Good review that. I've played LRB a little, TBH I'm underwhelmed by it but it's always great to get more tracks for RB2 I've not played many of the songs, but what I have played haven't been that inspiring.

Though I am looking forward to our next RB party when someone has a drink and thinks they'll be able to sing like Freddy Mercury
