Classic Gaming Expo comes to the UK!!!

    Great news.

I went to CGE 99 in Vegas and it was awesome. Ralph Baer, Ed Logg, Billy Mitchell, and others were all there. Lots of arcade games on free-play, lots of vendors, exhibitors, and even a museum of sorts(featuring among other things, the Atari Mind-Link, his and her Lynxes, SG-1000, etc.).

While this technically isn't affiliated with the American one, they seem to be going for the same thing.

Hope they gather up some more exhibitors as well, either way, I am going.

Oh, and who in the world would buy a pair of CGE-uk thong underwear for their girlfriend?

    Apathy in the UK!

or is the retro section of this forum just a bit too slow?

Are there any better retro forums out there???

Strangely enough this one I hang out on is very busy...

Video game collectors unite! Digital Press is dedicated to the pack-rats among gamers, players of multiple systems and classic systems. Emulators, FAQ archives, sound bites, game reviews, and more!

The runners of this just so happen to be the organisers of CGE

As I know them quite well, maybe I could ask about this UK end of things...?

"The UK's first annual Classic Gaming Expo is taking place on the weekend of 24th and 25th July 2004 at Fairfield Halls just south of London.

Come and re-live those classic gaming days. Play Space Invaders in our arcade, play Manic Miner on one of the Spectrums and many more. There will be computers, consoles and arcade machines from the 1970's through to the early 1990's."

The exhibitor end of things is a bit slim so far, but there is still lots of time.
