LE legend of zelda NES cart instead of Vdub badge

There's a Streets song where he mumbles about 64s and playstations.

House is soemtimes seen playing a gameboy, DS or as seen in season 6 a PSP go silly house.

However he was playing metroid zero mission once, also I believe and Metroid pinball in another episiode.

I remember ages ago in the first season of ER, there was a scene where one of the characters (Mark Greene) was playing a Killer Instinct cab.

The cafe in Eastenders had a Neo cab in it. Haven't watched it for a few years now though, so no idea if its still there.

Anyone remember Neighbours back in the early 90s had phases when games would be explicitly mentioned? Dr Kennedy had a PC and people were always playing Magic Carpet on it and mentioning it by name all the time. Presumably it was some kind of product placement? Not exactly subtle...

Prince's 'Play in the Sunshine` (off SOTT) had a line about Donkey Kong. He's also sung about the cartridge you were playin' not fitting in yo videogame.

I remember that no matter what they were playing the sound effects were always that of a GameBoy. When on the PC, they used to simply hit the keyboard, mouse and joystick at random – you'd watch them alternating, thinking "what the hell are they playing!?"

I had some hip hop videogame quotes up on my old site. Can only remember a few of them off the top of my head -

Whoop anybody's ass at NBA Live - Common Sense

I'm playing Super Nintendo! - Charlie Brown (Leaders of the New School)

              I'm Nintendo 64 and you're Mattel Intellivision - Q-Tip (A Tribe Called Quest)

Chips that power nuclear bombs power my Sega - Jeru

              EDIT: just remembered another:

The Rubic's Cuban's at your door, but I ain't singing no carols,
I'm like Donkey Kong, I got you n****s dodging my barrels - Celph Titled

He said I'm going upstairs, I'm gonna play Atari - Roxanne Shante

My personal favourite is still the Resident Evil episode of Spaced.

Some dude was playing Forza III (mentioning it by name) on Emmerdale Farm yesterday using a steering wheel on what seemed to be an Elite.

Note: I was visiting the old dears and my mum was watching it.

I love these, this is another one:

                    'Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis
When I was dead broke, man I couldn't picture this' - Notorious B.I.G.

Yeah, this is awesome. 'It's sort of a blend of cool headed puzzle solving and extreme violence'

Chuck makes references to videogames all the time, they were constantly banging on about COD 4 at one point. Mind you the whole show is stuffed with lurid product placement so it's hardly surprising. They also had a rad episode where the key to saving the world was getting to the kill screen on this 80s style (fictional) arcade game.

Spaced had episodes around Tekken and Tomb Raider too.
I remember Tim drowning Lara Croft after he had been dumped!
[Tim is playing Tomb Raider 3]
                      Brian: What you playing?
                      Tim: Tomb Raider 3
                      Brian: She's downing.
                      Tim: Yeah.
Brain: Is that the point of the game?
Tim: Depends what mood you're in really.

Namond plays a weird version of Halo in The Wire, which says "Halo 2" on the screen.

In Black Books, Fran mentions Pokémon to Bernard who replies "PAC-MAN. I think you'd find it's pronounced PAC-MAN," or something like that.

And that arcade cab is still in the cafe in Eastenders. I saw it in the background for the first time the other week, playing some mental looking shmup, and it was a bit of a wtf moment. Of all the things. I can't imagine Pat's got much use out of it.

I watched something recently which had kids playing on DS Lites in what felt like every other scene, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was. I don't think it was a Nintendo Advert though, Ant and Dec weren't in it.
