    WRC officially announced [PS3/360/PC]

    Black Bean has now made if official that Milestone is currently working on WRC. We are only shown one image for now but the press release is full of promises we certainly hope will be kept when the game is released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC next Fall.

    Ooooh sounds good to me...really miss the WRC games from the PS2 era.

    Hope they include the JWRC as well otherwise just using Citreon or Fords is gonna get boring quickly

    Long gone are the heady heyday of WRC with Subaru, Mitsubishi, Skoda, Toyota etc.

    Also something I want is that no matter where I finish the season continues...none of that crap "you need to finish 3rd or better over the 3 days to continue" rubbish please.

    Hate it when games dont let you progress even if you play crap...racing games shouldnt matter where you finish you should still go on, it's totally unrealistic to me.

    Still I'm hyped for a new Rally game full stop...bring it on

      I thought Gran Turismo had the official WRC licence along with NASCAR?

      Didn't realise there could be more than one game with the offical licence like how Sony had F1 and EA have FIFA.

        I think EA bought exclusivity of the FIFA license. NBA license seems to be on EA and 2K sports. I'm just guessing.

          Big fan of the PS2 WRC games by Evolution studios. Be nice to see a new series and lest of for a decent mix of Rally Cross and a proper full WRC mode.

            It's good to finally see a screen shot from the game as the concept art released when they announced this back in October looked completely unobtainable. The screen shot looks fine though.

            I'm a really big fan of the sport and some of the WRC games that have been released and I've also enjoyed Black Bean's V8 Racing Superstars (The second one is out at the end of the month), Superbike & SBK franchises so I'm hoping this is going to be another one of theirs that I really enjoy.

            The WRC was exclusively licensed to Sony for some time but Evolution Studios had moved onto the MotorStorm franchise so it probably wasn't worth them paying to keep it exclusive as they'd not released a game using the license since 2005.

              it all sounds absolutely great, and when they can deliver I will be VERY happy!
              I love a realistic rally game (like the old ColinMcRae and WRC games).
              Just me, the car and the track to beat the time ! I love that.

              I just don't have high expectations knowing it's being made by Black Bean.... I really really hope they can get the job done and we finally will have a proper WRC game again.

                Its not made by them according to the report but out of interest how come you wouldn't have high expectations if it was by them? I really liked the PS2 WRC games.

                    Can't wait! I used to buy McRae every year until it turned into MotorStorm, fingers crossed this delivers a proper rally game
