Nice to see a review of this, I didn't play it to the end but enjoyed it while it lasted for me.

However,

really? Surely if anyone did actually know what controlling a mech is like in real life then steel battalion would win. Either way, I certainly wouldn't call this one realistic!

If robots are controlled like how pirate ships are steered perhaps. Spin that wheel! Lol. I do understand what is being said here actually. Some of the controls are h'amaze cool.

This is one of the best games on DS IMO. Certainly the best mech game I've ever played.

Only thing I don't like about it is that it has no delete function data function.

I might grab this, remember being very interested back when it was first announced just on the basis of cool controls + Sandlot. Glad to hear it actually plays well too.
