A must-see for all Street Fighter fans

Our affiliate site ArcadePerfect (run by Inertia) has put a rather superb, in-depth look at Street Fighter charecter and history article together which is essential reading for anyone even remotly interested in the SF series.

    The link is http://www.arcadeperfect.com/modules...l=sf2index.htm

As a side-note I just love the artwork in this article also, its superb!

Whilst you are there, also take a look around the site as its full of interesting articles and reviews of gaming classics of yesteryear.

Really like what I've sen so far. It's a bit confusing with some of the standards that have been set for the piece (it seems that whilst he sticks mostly to Amrrican names and conventions where possible, it occasionally slips in the Japanese instead). COnsidering the article seems to strongly suggest that they consider Capcom Japan's storylines to take canon precedence, perhaps it would have made more sense to stick to the Japanese conventions throughout?

But overall, I enjoyed reading what I've read so far (Timeline and the Muscle Bomber/Street Fighter game sections). Going to go home later and sit with it properly.

          Superb reading thus far.

Just been reading up some of the character biography's, which have provided some neat little tidbits, but I intend to read the article fully later on this evening.

            15:21 < Peet> http://www.arcadeperfect.com/modules...l=timeline.htm I can't believe someone even bothers to try creating a street fighter timeline
15:22 < Peet> also they've left out THE MOVIE STARRING KYLIE AND JEAN-CLAUDE
            15:22 < Peet> I WONDER WHY

                    wow.

I just spent far too much time reading this.
                    Wow.
I remember reading about the really convoluted storylines in CVG, a loooong time ago. But this is awesome.
Makes me wish I really got into SF3

Man, I didnt know about this, I'd better get down to the newsagents
The ones from around 95/96 were excellent too except the 2 issues based on the movie

i know some newsagents get proper comics, but you might be better off finding a real comic shop.

For those who liked the artwork used in the Street Fighter feature, you'll be pleased to know there's an exhibition in the ArcadePerfect galleries of selected artwork from the Capcom DesignWorks book.

It's all high-res, properly scanned stuff; so if you want some more Capcom lush, there's a link to it on the main page.

Thanks for your nice comments so far, btw. Much appreciated.
