Amplitude Tunnel Mode - For Those Who Don't Know

Having read some of the replies to the review, I'm not sure if everyone's aware of this little gem. With my PS2 in for repair, I'll confess I haven't tried it myself, but I'm damn-well gonna...

    Amplitude Tunnel Mode:

Press L3-L3-L3-R3-R3-R3-L3-R3-L3 at any time to change the field into a tunnel. Enter it again to make the tunnel look like Tempest.

Think it'll work on the demo?

Guess we'll find out when the PS2 loads up...

    This is so exciting!

It works with my US copy, but not quite as described 8)

heres the easiest way to do it:

        - start playing a song
        - pause the game
        - enter the code L3-L3-L3-R3-R3-R3-L3-R3-L3
        - quit the song
        - begin another song (doesn't have to be the same).

Each time you enter the code it cycles through:

normal - inside tunnel - outside tunnel

you can enter the code more than once, eg enter it twice initially to get the outside tunnel mode.

There are some other codes that require this 'level restart' method to get them to work:

        - spinning monkey-head note markers L3-L3-L3-L3-R3-R3-R3-R3-L3
        - transparent corridors L3-R3-L3-L3-R3-L3-R3-R3-L3

        both of these cycle on-off.

There is also a video blur effect that can be enabled at any time:

        - R3-R3-R3-R3-L3-L3-L3-L3-R3

nope, tunnel mode doesn't let you 'wrap around', its a mostly visual tweak. The main difference is outside tunnel mode, its almost impossible to see where the notes are on adjacent corridors.

Inside tunnel mode is a little tougher too.
