    Bodycount // Black 2 [360/PS3?]

Developed by Codemasters? Guildford team, Bodycount is a shooter to keep your eyes on. This is because the Guildford team features several key members from Criterion?s Black team, and is headed by Stuart Black who was co-creator on the FPS that shares his name. Acting as creative director, Black is joined by Tom Gillo (executive producer) from Sony London and Andrew Wilson (senior producer) from Black Rock.
There's a feature in this months Official 360 magazine according to PlayStation University.

I don't think it's officially Black 2 but from the people making it and from what I've read on a few sites with descriptions such as...
spectacular and frankly mental first-person shooter
...floating around it certainly sounds like a spiritual successor to it if nothing else.

yep, unfourtunately this is going to be no Black sequel. but this doesn't have to be bad. looking forward to first footage

The new shooter from the creators of Black, Bodycount, is exclusively revealed on the cover of the new issue of OXM - going out to subscribers now.

The game is being developed at Codemasters Guildford by a team headed by Stuart Black, who worked on the cult FPS that shares his name when at Criterion.

Several other key members of the Black team have joined him at Codemasters to work on Bodycount, which is a spectacular and frankly mental first-person shooter.

We can't say any more about it, save to say that if you like shooting guns in games you are going to really, really love it. Find out more in the issue itself: the mag's going out to subscribers today, and will be in newsagents on Thursday 11th March. Look out for the fancy cardboard wallet with the big hole in, our testament to the game's ridiculous levels of destruction.

It's clearly not going to officially be 'Black 2'. That's an EA (Criterion) IP and this is Codemasters Guildford doing it.

This is no comment on the game as I obviously don't know anything about it but it reminds me of this image.

OR the artist known as Rob Liefield......sigh.
Chapel from Youngblood immediately sprang to mind (also noted someone else posted elsewhere)

Roffles indeed. Heh, never underestimate the demographics who'll get pulled in by a scary black guy with a minigun. Where's that shot from, Chopemon? Shadowrun or something?

EDIT: Image properties tell me it is.

yeah, it's one of the trolls or something from Shadowrun.

I quite like the gnarly American comic style of the character (despite hating Liefield). I also really like the Army of Two character designs though.

Didn't take long don't forget his fine female form.

Always hated his signature pencil noses too amongst everything else he did.

I'm quite liking the style I have to say. It seems like a mix between Borderlands and Valkyria Chronicles.

Wow, that does look a lot like Black. I was expecting something that looked... different.

Looks pants. I don't think codemasters have ever acually published a decent fps. Wasn't their last one Damnation?
