God, the Wii really is dying/dead for third parties isn't it?

All the Wii Fit, Let's Dance clones and Shovelware would beg to differ.

Awesome news, will now wait for the HD version. was thinking it would be good on the Wii, but then I heard you had to lift the Wiimote up and then down to dunk, and that's not how I played NBA Jam of old. Really hope they put arcade stick controls in there though too, now that would totally rock! Still any pad is better than a Wiimote for me.

Is this confirmed as PSN/XBLA now? I know it's due for PS3/360 but I didn't think they'd confirmed the delivery format yet.

This was released today on the Wii as an HMV exclusive. Will cost you 30 quid which is a bit steep. 360 and PS3 are getting disc based releases on the 26th November at the same price

Think I'm going to wait for this one to drop in price. Seemed perfect for XBLA/PSN but just not worthy of a near full price disc based release

I think its well worth a disc release. Its NBA JAM! Going to pick it up when it comes out on the 360.

                £28 at HMV actually.

Now that Jam is separate, looks like they've realised nobody is going to buy their game.

Was really looking forward to NBA Jam. Still hearing reports that the game on 360 and PS3 while disc based is only really shipping as half a game, with a free download with the Remix tour and the rest. If that is the case, I will not be buying the game until that patch is released.

I laughed, as Bynum would freeze and stand like Jesus on the centre of the court.

I finally played this tonight and lasted just over one quarter before putting it back in the box. They are still yet to make a home release that comes close to the original arcade version for me. The original commentator doesn't sound interested and it looks too shiny. Back to the shop for me.

I agree, i took it back the next day. The main problem i have with it is the fact you can clearly tell its an Xbla game on a disc. Probably would be worth 800pts if it was released on there.

                            Agree too.

I played it for 15 minutes on my Ps3 and put it away since then. My complaints:

-Controls can't be altered so TE stick won't work properly
                            -Turbo on L buttons.. wtf?
-but TE is likely moot as this needs 5 buttons; too deep! Why no 3 as in Showtime etc (turbo also fake move when double tapped)?
-Animations feel kind of wooden, dunks don't really go high. This game lacks spark.
-Only 3 players per team is kind of weak too.

The dunks only go really high when you're on fire, which is how it was in the original iirc. There are also more than 3 players per team but you have to unlock them via the classic and remix modes(the extra ones are legends like Larry Bird,Magic Johnson & Scottie Pippen etc.) Can't say I've had any problems with the controls, it's all very straight forward if you ask me. Can hardly blame the game for not being compatible with an arcade stick it was never meant for either.

There's also a thread in first play btw,
