This is getting funny now, I can only imagine a certain level of expectation is leading to the less than impressed views. Of course the 3D doesn't add anything, it's just a nice effect. The screen will be perfectly fine too. "Oh but Ridge Racer and SF4 don't look AMAZE on it" Seriously? Using these quick ports as a benchmark for what we'll eventually get?

Feels like some are treating the 3DS like a game launch were if it doesn't do the job in 10 days it can still be returned. Did you like your old DS? Then keep the pre-order. Not? Get rid.

Anyone expecting a hardware revolution must have missed 99%of previous launches

It's not really surprising. The original DS protection was utterly broken so it'd be hard for them to fix it.

DSi only games and 3DS games are still secured.

If any of you Japanese members are truly dissapointed with it so much please mail it over to me. I will give your 3DS a good home :-)

Pleased with the brief go I've had on my black one so far (Ridge Racers).

Anyone with a 3DS got Street Fighter Phwoar?

I ummed and arred over buying SF, and almost bought it for the nostalgia of all the fun I had playing SF2. Then I remembered that the last two Streetfighter games I bought - PSP and SF4 - I got bored of them almost the same day, whereas I have only ever been disappointed with one Ridge Racer game (DS).

That's fine, mate. I'm really looking to hear from somone who plays a fair bit of console/arcade SFIV an has tried the 3DS version. Really want to hear how the dpad/circle pad hold up.

Sorry, I was thinking out loud, rather than poo pooing anyone else's choice of game.

This may be common knowledge - apologies if so, but it was something I had no idea about.

My Japanese 3DS DOES play other region DS games. Or at least, it has no problem with the US Civilisation I just tried.

Ive got the 360 version with the tourny fight stick and ive played quite a bit of SF over the years. I played the 3ds version for a good 30 mins at the preview event and it holds up extreamly well graphics and control wise to the console/arcade versions. The d pad is good as always with nintendo d pads, only slight thing may bother some people is that its low down on the console. The slider works really well too i was pulling off all the specials without much trouble, Definate day 1 purchase along with pilot wings.

Is Pilotwings a launch game in the UK? I was dismayed when, this evening, I couldn't find it in Bic Camera.

Well, I'm looking forward to it, but I wonder if it will ever be a Wii download (the N64 version) then.

That's the reason I wanted a 3DS, really - can take or leave all the launch titles.
