I've had to switch the 3D off totally now. Getting really bad headaches after 20 minutes or so. Really sad as I love the console but not at the expense of my health!

Yeh the more and more I play it the less headaches I get. Now play Pilot Wings on full 3D all the time and it's completely fine where as this time last week I was going mega crazy after playing for 10 minutes.
But the more I play it, the more the 3D impresses me. The depth is so real. I love it.

If they make the exact same Animal Crossing with items and villagers swapping on streetpass I'll probably still buy it out of curiosity but PLEASE NINTENDO DO SOMETHING NEW. Get rid of the town, that was a waste of time...or make it bigger and let it be a hub for random players to interact. I'd like MUCH better NPC AI, we can do more than 4 basic personalities now surely? It'd be nice to see the NPC's in the coffee shop and just doing more similar things to you. Maybe prizes for having a letter swap between 10 people and maybe come back to you. There's so many things they could do but I just have this nagging feeling they'll hope the 3D effect is enough of an update, this game can't ever seem to evolve.
Visiting a friends town when you see them playing is a must, I never tried multiplayer on the Wii so don't know if it was different to the DS apart from the speaking but I remember the DS visiting to be quite a clunky affair. It'd be cool if you could rent a house in your friend's town as a crash pad, okay it'd only be there when they were online but they could check out what you'd done with the place, hey you could booby trap it Spy vs. Spy style. Hide bees in the drawers
I could talk forever about what I'd like to see in it really but all I can do is wait.

I love my 3DS, got my first 2 street passes yesterday, still addicted to Pilotwings - even though it is superlightweight and lazy in places. No problems at all regarding headaches and the 3D is beautiful. I was showing our lass the pedometer and street pass yesterday and she was impressed and said she liked it because it felt like Nintendo want you to have fun with the machine. I think she summed it up perfectly.

60+ gaming hours and that's just on lego starwars

I quite like the device but nothing is inspiring me to play it a great deal just yet. So far I have SSFIV and Ridge which are impressive enough, but are nothing that is making me want to play it over any other console. I don't regret buying one at all, just it looks like it'll be some time before I really get hooked. Contemplating grabbing DoA and BB:CSII, but that would then mean that my fighter to non-fighter ratio is 3:1 on a handheld, which is just bizarre.

Yeah, we need some meaty games. I have SFIV, Ridge Racer and Pilotwings. SFIV is well done but I do find the controls a handicap. RR is good but I feel like I've played it many times and there are so many races in the Grand Prixs that it feels like grinding. Both of these feel like surface games, if that makes any sense. I play them, don't really get inside them. They're the games I'd play for a break from that game I'm really playing. Pilotwings I enjoy and offers something different but I'm not far off having got all I can from it. All three are arcade types though. Not immersive experiences. And that's what I'd really like. Aside from Zelda, I'm not seeing one on the horizon either.

i Think its the same when all new consoles come out, the launch games arent bad, i like SFIV and Ridge Racer, but like you say a nice meaty adventure game would be nice at launch, but pilotwings , pro evo and Ghost Recon are all good even if 2 of them are a little bare on content, im still happy with it though and once the AAA software comes along nothing else will touch it.Last edited by arcnas; 04-04-2011, 10:03.
