Sounds about right. I'm hoping that new puzzles, items, AR stuff etc will be unlocked and added from playing certain games too. Would be a nice little touch.

Also really enjoying the AR free fishing at the moment. Just trying to fill in the fish gallery book/collection is really fun. Love the relaxing ambient sound effects, and the way you have to be playing on a certain coloured surface to catch certain fish! Very clever. Didn't realise that you got all this stuff included on the machine itself. Its been a brilliant surprise. Nearly two weeks on and i've still got built in stuff left to unlock and mess around with!

So I'm on my replacement 3ds. Only got one new Mii. Went into town today and forgot to take the 3ds. D'oh!

Just read that Ubisoft have 15 titles in the works for 3ds. Let's cast our minds back to about a year or so after the Wii launch when Ubisoft felt compelled to publicly apologise for the amount of garbage they made for Wii at launch. Seems they learned nothing. Best get writing that next apology letter now*

*Yes, I know Shadow Wars is good but there's no way they'll keep it up. Rayman was obviously rushed out the door.

They might've apologised to gamers for it, but those games *sold* a lot of copies. So no reason not to do it again...

I need to investigate the extra AR games, thought it was only face shooty thing and the monster in a box.

I bought Nintendogs the other day but don't have the heart to start a firstplay, its very nice though.

The whole "imagine Babyz in the white house" thing destroyed western DS developers (why spend a fortune making DS titles when it'll be outsold by that crap?) and seriously harmed the Wii. If Nintendo were smart, they'd refuse or limit licences for that kind of thing for the 3DS.

Why would they though? Nintendo get their licence cut whenever a game sells. Any game.

Well, they maybe ought to at the beginning of the 3ds life. Early adopters won't be buying that crap will they? One the price drops and all the kids have 3DSs then yeah, that stuff'll sell. Am I overthinking this? wrong?

What i find even more amazing than that Sun article, is the fact that quite a few people seem to have bought the 3DS, purely for the 3D feature.

Well, it is the USP of the machine isn't it? So not that surprising then, surely?

Not for the brilliantly well designed machine, or the fantastically well implemented innovative functions, that have real potential to lead to brand new gameplay. Not even for the actual games themselves! No, just for the 3D. Bit of inevitable eyestrain or headache later, and they're getting rid. Utterly mental.

While I agree that the 3DS is a quality piece of kit, beyond the 3D it's not that innovative is it? So it's got the cameras and a gyro and an accelerometer- none of these things are new. And as much as I'd like to see fantastic new gameplay ideas, I remain sceptical after the Wii. When that was announced everyone's imagination went into overdrive with what might be possible. And what do we get? Fackin Mario Kart ver. 2 million. If this were anyone other than Nintendo then I might expect something radically new on the game front, but this is Nintendo so meh. Can't wait for Mario Kart 3D and the wild new approach it adopts.

Here is something annoying to bear in mind, if you get street pass Miis you have to use them on Streetpass Quest that day or they dissapear.

Not just that day, you have to use them before you exit the app. In fact, if you go back to the front door to meet more, you can't quest the ones you met before but didn't use yet.

Gah! I didn't know that. I had a few Streetpasses and didn't use them. I was saving them. Pox anyway.

Good to know. Currently spending 10 play points a day on this as well as any street passes I meet!

I've been relying more on the Play Coins for quest now as most people's Mii's I get aren't levelled up so it doesn't make much difference. On the bus home tonight the Mega Ghost is going down!
