    PSN IP locked?

I'm getting a "This service is not available in your country/region." message when I try to connect. They haven't IP locked it since the 3.21 update have they? I've got a JPN CECHA00 and a HK CECH2012A slim unit. It's happening on both of them, no matter which region account I use.

I'm getting the same thing with the UK,US and JPN store, using a JPN 60gb console, i'm sure i've had this happen before ages back, went back later and it was fine.

      Ah good ole sony.
Same here UK ps3 my JPN/USA PSN accounts can't access the respective stores, looks like the have IP killed PSN.
Also it would make sense to them and publishers to region lock stores, if it's happened before and sorted out all fine and dandy but bit suspicious after new FW now this.

Can your UK account access the UK PSN? My boy has just said that he couldn't access the UK PSN using a UK account on a UK PAL PS3, so perhaps it's just temporary?

Your boy is correct, exact same message for UK account on UK PS3.
Sony redeemed got my eye on some more jpn/us ps1 games, dont want to be without.

If it turns out not to be a glitch then I'm wondering if their doing some maintenance to the PSN to stop people who haven't updated their FW using the recent workaround which still allows them to connect.

PSP-3000 and Go locked out too. Both giving an 80550F17 error, which was reported last June as "PSN Down" by SCE on Twitter.

ok, this is incredibly crappy if true. There's always the option of proxies but... sending CC/account details over a proxy is a scary prospect.

We've had this scare before guys. It's just a result of maintenance.

Especially as UK stores are down too.

This sentence contains 1 lie (Hint-It's not the bit about the stores)

I'm on a uk ps3, just had a quick go and like the ladies they're all letting me in

Got in straight away just now, it was down for a while earlier though.

It's always worth checking on the PlayStation Blog as they have a network status icon which is green and says ON now but was red and said OFF earlier which is usually a sure sign that it's not just you having issues.

If they ever do start geo-locking in that way, it is going to be a truly sad day when we have to resort to piracy just to play games from another country.
