Should Sega Sammy Re-enter the Hardware Market?

    Serious debate here please...

Arcade Home System or Handheld sector possibilities and projections for success or are they better now as a pan European Japanese Software provider

    No. That's seriously debating too.

What's the Capcom picture all about? It has nothing to do with this thread whatsoever.

It's out already and called PlayStation3, Xbox 360, and Wii.

This is never going to happen and is making less financial sense with every year (and inevitable thread) that passes.

They need to focus on the quality of their software output before they even consider making another console. Other than Yakuza 3 and Valkeria Chronicles I can't think of another console game they've made recently that comes even close to their best work.

              Are SEGA still a developer?

I agree, the possible AAA franchises have been so badly handled that they are near worthless.

The stuff that hasn't been royally screwed up (like Sonic and Nights) such as Outrun and Jet Set don't have mass market appeal. Plus I'd have to buy another console to play a handful of titles so no thanks.

What the hell? Do you want them to go under completely? Worst idea ever, even for sega.

Successor to saturn and dreamcast in THIS generation?
No doubt it would have to be a Sega wand-motion-wave-bollocks machine that would then play host to terrible Sonic cash ins.
MS/MD/Saturn/DC era Sega of old are gone yeah it's bloody sad especially with all the talent they had but just LOOK at the legacy they left behind, now compare that to what SEGA have achieved in the industry now, it's enough to makes most people sad.
Hopefully next week Afterburner Climax will sell a megaton ammount which will lead them to make more arcade conversions (Planet Harriers please!) with online play and leaderboards for XBLA/PSN, that's where they can make the money and introduce these arcade games to new audiences.

Too small a fish these days anyway. We're more likely to see an EA console.

                        *hurl*

                          My thoughts exactly.

I would rather they make the games they used to make on the Saturn & Dreamcast for a larger market then make a new console.

                            Currently they're really doing neither.

I think there is potential with the success of X Arcade and SFIV, the DS, PSP, I want actual game play back in games, Sammy as corporate sponsor could solidify financial backing and Rez Part Deux as a launch title would make me buy the system...
