Cheers Bort. I did try to find it, I knew it was there but the forum kept telling me I was a spamming goit...

I'm not feeling that at all any more - visually at least.

It looks really ropey (I know it's not due till next year and there's still time but if that's the best you've got to show off...?) between the terribly jerky animations, frame rate issues and the Tron-lined obelisk enemies that look appalling. It's like someone ordered they put that sort of stuff in to make sure it was down wiv da kidz, never mind the fact it looks bloody terrible and weak design.

I'd go so far to say that this is the second worst trailer of the E3 so far, a very close second to that awful Neverdead one.

Yeah, I watched this earlier and was hugely underwhelmed (like the 50s style in potential, just not in execution). I'll have to go back and watch the original trailer, because people seemed to be pretty upbeat about it at the original announcement.

If you look at it without thinking 'xcom' then it looks like an interesting setting. Shame they seem to have lost the 'inky liquid' creatures though.

I have no idea what to expect from an X-Com game personally, I'm just going from that last trailer.

Have to agree with Spatial. After the first trailer, which made it look really special, this looks extremely average. Shame

Liking the early 60's look and vibe of the game, adds a lot of flavour. The facial animations and lip-sync are not the best but that might get better still I guess.

I love the fact that there seems to be plenty of opportunities for customization at your base with different squad members, alien technologies etc. I always enjoy that sort of activities in games, being able to walk around and talk to people, adds a lot of immersion and a nice break between field missions.

Unfortunately the combat looked pretty mediocre to me, very basic cover shooting with dumb AI enemies who just stand there waiting to get shot, hopefully there's more variety than what the demo showed. The enemies also looked really boring, just some blue humanoids, not very imaginative.

Looks pretty rubbish to me. The combat looks boring as hell, the agent commands trying to mask yet another cover shooter with recharging health.

                      Delayed some more.
Take-Two announced today XCOM was pushed back into the company's 2014 fiscal year, which begins on April 1, 2013 and ends March 31, 2014.

And yet the RTS one is coming in October:

Hmm .. lets see FPS vs RTS ... think I know which one I will be going for

This game (apparently still under development), could lose the XCOM brand and become a more generic man VS alien shooter. Take-Two registered four domains centered around "The Bureau" and "What Happened in '62", though this is more speculation than anything.

The game's website and the trailer on 2K's Youtube account have vanished. The last official announcement from 2K was that XCOM was still under development and scheduled within Fiscal Year 2014 (so March 2014 at the latest), but apparently everything seems to point to a rebranding.
And maybe the inclusion of zombies.

If anyone cares, the official name is The Bureau: X-Com Declassified and will come out in August, present year.
