Jeez, thanks for that, guys.
I reported the refresh problems btw, but no changes were made.
Cube version has no refresh problems as such, just the other two.

Image tearing, btw, is the nasty ripple effect you see if a game is running at a rate which doesn't agree with your TV/monitor's refresh setting. PC owners enable V-Sync to get rid of it (which fixes the game to run no faster than so-many hz). Console owners rely on the devs to take it into consideration when releasing their games...unfortunately for us.

Right this game SOUNDS fun. But is it really worth getting purely because i'm a simpsons fan and this is funny? Most of the jokes i've heard quoted from this game are straight from the shows anyway. When I am trying to cut down on Game purchases and only get games I really want...Does "I'm a big fan of the tv programme, the game plays ok but the humour is like the show!" warrant buying it?

I'm definately gonna order the Cube version from DVD Box Office when I get some cash in my account. Haven't played an enjoyable Simpsons game since Bart VS The Space Mutants and Krusty's Super Funhouse!

I have to say I didn't really like it. The formula seemed to work perfectly at first, until the realisation that there are far too many basic race-him, drive-here, collect-this missions.
There's a lot going for it, but once the novelty wears off (about level 3, personally) you're left with a very poor clone of GTA3 with over half the exciting bits missing.

Yeah I agree, but everyone else seems to like it. Especially those who haven't played GTA3 or VC.
Whatever about the GTA influence, Driver still rules when it comes to mission-based driving.
The humor is it's strongest point; Simpsons Hit and Run is the first game in ages to make me laugh out loud. It is kinda cool being able to explore a virtual Springfield also.
