They won't be every thursday, apparently they will just be un-scheduled and appear on the day so you have to keep you looking at dashboard.
Recently noticed 50% off 3 month sub appeared/disappeard on dash, ?7.50 for 3 month of live.

Not to mention by ordering it via the dashboard your credit cards put on their automatic renewal service for £5 a month and apparently it's a long winded pain in the ass to have it removed again

I was stuck on that 3 month thing for ages. Then I finally had my card removed. Now I just make a new account every month and get my Live for free XD

I did it for 3 or 4 months I think, but I haven't used my 360 for a long time.

I believe only the first three accounts created on a 360 are granted with a month's free subscription to Xbox Live Gold. After that all new accounts are Silver only.
