Assassins Creed 1 and 2 both Ran better on 360

    DF's analysis conclusion of 2

In the final analysis, it's fair to say that while Assassin's Creed II has a number of important advantages on Xbox 360, the crucial thing is that the improvements to the PS3 engine are such that the performance deficit isn't going to get in the way of having a great time. It's an essential game on both platforms, but if you've got both consoles, the 360 version is clearly the more solid performer.

Ubi are claiming that the PS3 version will be just as good, maybe slightly better than the 360 this time around.

Whether or not that's a pack of lies and that the exclusive content is there to soften the blow ala Red Dead Redemption will remain to be seen.

Will be £26 when bought with 2100 MS points (17.49) or £20 psn card at Tesco Instore, repeat of the Black Ops offer.

Speak of the devil and he shall appear, or something.

It's a 10! Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood expertly refines and improves ACII's winning formula, adds in a highly enjoyab…

Think ill be picking up the PS3 version tomorrow for the extra content. Loved the 2nd game last year. Any idea if this ones story follows on? or do we have to wait for AC3? (no doubt next November)

                  One question:
Anything from the Assassins Creed 2 game save that gets carried over to Brotherhood?

This starts up right as AC2 ends. Like, in the same room.

For those who shop at Sainsbury's I'd advise using the self-checkouts as much as possible as the machines now are printing out games vouchers as well as the usual 30p off a loaf of bread etc.

I have two at the moment, GT5 and Assassin's Creed, both for ?3.

Sort of, but not in any way that would matter if you hadn't played it...

It appears to start Ezio off with the weapons, armour and cash you had when you finished AC2, but story events mean you don't keep it long (it's actually one of the cleverer 'how do we remove all the characters powers' sequences I've seen for a long time, certainly better than how the recent Metroids have handled it...)

For all my issues with the series I know I'll end up picking this up at some point so it came as a pleasant surprise and handy too to find an email in my inbox from Ubisoft UPlay to say that as a member of the service they had sent me a code to access an exclusive mission in the game. If you're a member (I assume everyone who's played a recent Ubisoft title whilst connected to the net is) then check your account

                                Another update:

GamesRadar+ takes you closer to the games, movies and TV you love.

When the multiplayer reaches 25 million kills total Ubisoft will release a new night variant of one of the maps.
