    Ape Escape PS3

ApeClub - the official Twitter page for Ape Escape - has tweeted:

    Ape Escape PS3 - release date now Q2 - Q4 2010
It was confirmed at last year's Tokyo Game Show that it would support Playstation Move.

I quite liked the original on Playstation and its pioneering use of the dual-shock pad: "Woah! You can click the sticks in!"

I loved the first couple and then it became one of the great lost franchises to my mind.

don't see waving my arms around like a twat to control it altering that, I'd just love an update of the originals using buttons and not playing stupid mini-games.

God I hope they don't mess this up. Once upon a time this was such a fun series... well, if this one even makes it out of Japan.

Could be good. The first couple were really enjoyable and worked well with the controls, hopefully they don't change too much though.

The first was kind of revolutionary in that you actually had to use the DS to the max. But in hindsight the control setup was wonky; jump and camera with shoulder buttons and RS for melee. You would get shot for that nowadays.

If this becomes a full fledged platform game and not a minigame compilation, I can see the potential of it. Yeah, waving around to swing the net...

I do kind of hope that its a remake of the 1st game though. Just because I did not really like any sequel of this game. The first was just... good.

There needs to be an explanation for apes not to have pants?
