"It's count 5! When I see a correct guess posted on the 'net, I get excited."

360 Action? Famitsu have just announced Virtual On 4 Force for 360 with 2 VS 2 gameplay, possibly?

Gotta love Famitsu spoiling the majority of Japanese countdowns

Was hoping it was going to being something a bit more interesting really, Virtual-On Force was pretty crap.

I bought Virtual On for Live arcade by accident once and I did'nt much care for it. Pretty lame if that's what the fuss is for.

You need to have the right controller and have real people to fight against to get the most out of it. single player with a gamepad is limited.

I had never played a Virtua On game before Virtual On Oratorio Tangram before the Xbox Live Port and enjoyed it.

It's has a very archaic control scheme but you can see why they chose it as it requires some training before you're proficient at just moving! I used the 360 Pad for it and I picked it up fairly quickly. I even managed to destroy some bloody frightening Japanese players over Live. Although my unorthodox playing style may have put them off!

Is this a new version of Virtua On or a completely new game?

Based on Arcade, specifically arcade version 7.7.
It added 2 VS 2 gameplay and other modes like Leader Battles where you had to protect/destroy leader in 2 VS 2. Biggest news is it's not XBLA and will be full retail release in JPN, due Winter 2010.
Oh and the countdown has stopped at 4, 4 is the force - Virtual On 4 Force. Yay Famitsu!

Did you get the Asian version (which is region free) or the J version (which is not)? I ask because the price you paid suggested the J version (more expensive). Unless you used fedex, thus the high price. Thought I should point out so you have time to change your order just in case.

The Japanese version is also region-free.

never even occurred to me to look for the asian version...so much cheaper my 'bought on a drunken whim' game would have been too

So, was the english text rumour BS or is my disc reading the console (Japanese) region rather than language selected?
