I'm not going to commit to any funds initially, but I'll keep an eye out for the freebies to see what it's like.

The free stuff on MUBI isn't really a good representation of the majority of their stuff, you'll find that it's often the shorter with a very limited audience.
You'll be able to download the app and see what's available and I suppose the free stuff will give an example of the quality to expect.
Efe has been talking about what's going to be happening with the service in the future and why the price needed to go up. They will be supplying more and more films in HD as they move forward and they're also wanting new films to be available via the service when the films are in the cinema.
I suppose it's a bit easier to do that as the smaller films that can get a very limited cinema run at specialist cinemas.
I'm not really sure how ?9:99 compare to other film services but I don't think I'd get the same amount of usage on services such as LoveFilm an Netflix.
Looking at the MUBI website they so many films I love as well as absolutely loads that I've never heard which is a big thing for me as I do like to try completely new films and there's no harm with trying as many as I want with the subscription. That's going to be a really important part of this service for me.

I'm not historically a huge consumer of niche media content (I loves ma guns!) but I often see/hear people talk about them and wished that I was. For example, I'm ashamed to say I had to look up what 'Metropolis' is after seeing it posted in the bargains forum.

I'm really liking this although as expected it's taking a bit of a hammering at the moment. When I loaded it up my MUBI profile (feel free to add me) was recognised straight away which I presume is because I'm using the same email address.
The interface seems nice and simple and the blu-ray remote works exactly as if you're watching a blu-ray.

I found it. I like how it's linked to my PSN account. Even better is that it has swapped X and O to match my JPN units. PlayTV doesn't do this and I get teh confuse.Last edited by J0e Musashi; 03-11-2010, 20:37.Kept you waiting, huh?

You can send invites via people via the PS3 but it's probably a bit quicker searching and sending via your MUBI Profile. There's different ways of searching and if you use things like Facebook you can automatically send out invites via that profile.
I've only really used MUBI for the films so I've not really bothered with finding which of my friends use the service yet.
