The "I'm proud of my SSFIV replay" thread

Right, this isn't just a thread for me to personally say it, more for everyone to come here and do the same.

My idea is that there are times I get to upload a replay I'm particularly chuffed with, my current one and my last one for example, and I'm all happy that I've got a quality replay up online for all the world to see...
then it all fades a bit cause I've no idea if anyone at all will ever watch it (I suspect not!) and eventually I overwrite it by accident with a rubbish one.

So, I invite people here to post when they've got one they're happy with, along with their xbl/psn tag, so others can marvel at your greatness.

I'll get the ball rolling with a solid if unspectacular beating of a decent Ryu with my friend Blanka.

Note if you do post about a replay, try to leave it there for a few days, don't just overwrite it at the next chance you get! (unless your next chance is an even better one...)

How do you upload a replay? I only seem to be able to save replays from my battle log locally.

How do you view replays that friends have uploaded? I haven't looked into the replays in Super yet, but it seems more confusing than SF4.

I don't think you can. I think you have to invite friends to your replay channel. I hope this isn't the case because I can't see anyone ever doing that. I liked being able to my FL replays at anytime because there's a lot of rubbish on the replay channels at the moment. It's too easy to upload replays.

The replay channel doesn't seem to be very well implemented; there's seemingly no way to search for top replays - with all the best will in the world, there's only so many Ken/Ryu fierce shoryuken battles I can take :/

Oh, sorry guys, I just assumed you could do something a little more sophisticated. Waterisgood4you said he'd been in the replay channel watching replays and had seen some of mine so I assumed there was a way of watching friends.

To upload a replay you need to meet certain criteria, the manual tells you more - I didn't read it thoroughly enough to know for sure! Seems like a bit of a rubbish thread anyway though.

To get a reply uploaded the criteria seems to be three wins in a row. It also works if you rob someone of their third win (I think), but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Is that ranked matches only, presumably?

Yup, only in ranked matches. It's three wins in a row, and then the winner of the next match can upload the replay. If you beat someone higher rank, it counts as two wins. (the little rotating 'film can' on the matchup screen shows you how far you have to go)

It's all a bit lame really, because as people have said, there's no way to direct your mates to your specific replay without inviting them into a lobby on your machine and then showing it them.

Which you can do anyway even if your replay wasn't uploaded by saving from your battle log.

So viewing uploaded replays is completely pointless unless you fancy watching completely random matches?
