I had initial misgivings of this concept but to be honest it's rather grown on me. I'm not one to play much on the gba but I'll be trying the Euro version of Boktai for sure.

This game is starting to really piss me off.
It doesn't work indoors at all unless their is bright sunlight pointing at it, even then the bar only went to about 3. I have played it outside but its so damn cold in Manchester today that it isn't comfortable to play at all outside.

I have made some progress on it but it seems very simplistic. Its a case of sneak in to the dungeon, drag the coffin out and then stick it in the piledriver and then defeat the boss. The last 2 parts are the really annoying because without adequate sunlight they simply can't be done.

I know that I can store sunlight for playing the game when there isn't any available but I can't really get enough of it to even attempt this. I'm just wondering if at the start of the game when you select your city, if by choosing a city that gets less sunlight than others would make the light sensor work better in my location. If so, anybody any idea of whuch city I should choose?

It looks like a good game but nothing special TBH. I just wish I had it 2 months ago so I could really appreciate it. I'm just really frustrated that I can only play Boktai when it suits the gme rather than when I want to play it. And it must be hell on a GB player.

Move to California. What teh Koj1ma didn't think of the foggy countries? What an ass! Seriously does he think that sunlight is a killer ap! Why not a motion sensor or something so that when you walk your sunlight thingy fills up.

Of course to insult Kojima is considered heresy in the states, so this will probably be my last post as the Kojima thought police seek me out.

Does a vampire hunter hunt at night? Nope, not unless they're forced to, and it'll be the same with you. You may be racing to complete an objective before the sun goes down, adding a state of urgency generated entirely by your natural environment, or you may be caught unawares by unexpected weather and placed at a sudden, strategical disadvantage.

These are the plus points I see, anyway, and it could ( potentially ) lead to an intriguing new range of videogame-player interactions in the future, which revolve around slightly more than a large plastic lightgun and/or fishing rod.
I can see what your getting at.

The problem I have with this kind of thing is that I only have a limited amount of time to play games. And I have to fit them in when I can fit them in. Some weeks I can play for hours and hours. Other weeks I'm looking to squeeze an hour in before bed. I need games to fit in with me not me with them.

As I say - I applaud the imagination and the fact that it is different. I just think its different in the wrong way - exclusive rather than inclusive.

I dream of one day getting a real job and being able to live in The States. Unless you wanna swap and come and live in Manchester. Hell we have a good footie team, surely a reason to swap.

Well I would be surprised if the UK even gets the game (I imported the US version). It may be down for a date but I doubt it very much. It is a good way of getting us little game geeks outside and enjoying some fresh air but the fact that I can't progress in the game, purely because its night time, really has made me real pissed with this game.

I think the last poster summed it up well when they said " As I say - I applaud the imagination and the fact that it is different. I just think its different in the wrong way - exclusive rather than inclusive."

I'd move to manchester if you can get me good seats for old trafford.

Still the relaxed European lifestyle is appealing to me. But in the states we have more 'stuff'. We don't any football team here. So when it comes to armored ponce games you can get the cool ones on TV.

                Not sure if you realise, but only 7 people who turn up to Old Trafford are from Manchester. You stand a much better chance if you live in any of the following places;
                -Surrey
                -Ireland
                -Singapore

Seriously though, swap with me and you can live safe in the knowledge that you won't get to see much live footie but are a "real" fan. Well thats what I tell myself when I'm pissed that I don't get to go any where near as often as I like.

Oh and home games are **** generally, no atmosphere. Away games are "where its at" for following the reds.

                    Way, way off topic.
Those guys can't even fill their sub 50,000 seater stadium for their 1st game in Europe for about 60 years.
Believe me, City aren't where its at...
