Netherrealm Studios are really showing Capcom just how bad they are when it comes to content for their fighting games. They should take a hard long look! Obviously they won't because its a western title.

I've never played GoW and I can take or leave Kratos, so I just ordered it on 360 from Shopto, but they've scrapped their 1st class recorded option
Hope it arrives tomorrow for the long weekend!
Got a bit worried reading a review that mentioned you can't skip the cutscenes. Not looking forward to that but hopefully it won't be too big a deal. I remember seeing the SF4 ultras for the first time and imagining the anguish at being forced to sit through what is essentially a cutscene mid-match but when I actually played it I fell in love with them.
Besides, I could always just play as Johnny Cage in single player as the cutscenes I've seen so far for him are hilarious

Off to play some more!

I've been playing MK non-stop since tuesday, finished the Story, played 25 stages of the Tower and finished Ladder about 2 times. What I can say is that the Story mode does take as long as a Call of Duty game would. Its really great, but sadly there is some lameness involved, namely 2 on 1 fights. But there is some real fan service involved. What we've previously read in the MK1-3 manuals is now actually being showed in the cut scenes.
Graphics are great, some backgrounds look like paintings. The animations do look kind of wooden when compared to SF and the inputs are kind of slower too but this all is typical MK.
Fatalities are quite sick, but thing is that the overall look is a bit on the cartoony side so its really not as gruesome as some might expect.

I just got mine and opened the box to find...
a Kombat Pass card!
Even better, the 'instruction manual', which is basically a leaflet, says the following:
"If the Kombat Pass code has already been redeemed by a previous owner, you can purchase a Kombat Pass code or try a 48 hour free trial from the in-game menu"
The end is nigh!
