Okay, with the Xmas rush about to begin in the next fortnight I've been weighing up what I'm likely to try and get with the release schedule finally settling down. I've marked the near certain buys with stars:

Sadly due to lack of work atm, I can't have such a nice list of games I play to get/play this winter but I'd have to say for the most part the games you've listed sound spot on.

Little Big Planet 2 sounds like the best winter release for me though. Followed by Hot Pursuit which it looks like Critereon have done a stunning job of. Those are the 2 essential games for me. Also love the look of Kirby, Sonic Colors and Donkey Kong.

Dark horse for me though is CastleVania, that is a day 1 purchase no questions I will sell/trade in whatever it takes to get that on launch!

Think I will probably just pick up Vanquish on the Xbox, though if DKC Returns proves to be sufficiently challenging I will also grab that.

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd

That's December and most of 2011 for me right there. Got my pre-order in on Play-Asia a while ago.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be purchased next payday and put away from Christmas, but Kirby's Epic Yarn will be an on-the-way-home-from-work purchase when it comes out. Then just Super Robot Taisen L will be my last DS game (afaik) with the 3DS coming out next spring. Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity is also a bit tempting.

I'm really looking to Fable 3. It seems like it's been ages since I've played a game with some good old base British humour. I think the last one was Banjo Kazooie N&B.

Fable III's pretty much the only game left this year I'm looking forward to playing. That and possibly F1 2010.

Saw a lot of Fable 3 today, I was going to give it a pass as I was disappointed with 2, but i'm turned around now, looks really good, also, Peter Molyneux (spelling?) did a speech at a conference I was at today, he got a standing ovation when he came up on stage, obviously with it being his game, he was very passionate about it and really sold it to a lot of people.

And I pplayed Gran Turismo 5 in 3D, my first experience of 3D, It looked amazing, and if I had a 3D telly it would be on my list, I may still get it anyway but probably in the new year/when I've finished everything else.

I love Molyneux, he's the brains behind many of my favourite games but he does exagerate (or bull**** if we're being frank). But, then, when talking about, indeed trying to sell, something you've poured years of your life, millions of pounds and your love and your soul into, it's probably very difficult not to.

Multiplayer wise I'm really looking forward to Call of Duty: Black Ops and Medal of Honor on the PC.

But then there is also the new Need for Speed game and especially Gran Turismo 5. For the latter it is too bad that I don't have a Full HD TV yet.
