has anyone played this?

looking for a few impressions on this (import friendly/etc) - can seem to find to much first hand impressions on it

Whilst I haven't played it, I'd imagine it'd play almost exactly the same as the most recent Shin Sangoku Musou title.

Surely as night follows day this will be identical to nearly all the other Musou/Dynasty Warriors games, but Fist of the North Star and this style of game is a perfect match!

I love a bit of Fist of the North Star and enjoyed being a destroyer of armies on one of the PS2 Dynasty Warrior games, so it's been a while since I played one of those games (apart from the Gundam demo).

Judging by Play-Asia's listing, the PS3 version is region free, but the XBox 360 version is NTSC-J only.

Personally, I'm holding out for when it gets released over here (as Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage) because I'd rather play it on my 360 than PS3, the Western release will retain Japanese voiceovers (and have English ones) and special move names and it'll be even more gory!

Ridiculous fun!

It's due out in the vague release date of "Summer 2010"

Thanks for the QUALITY post Mr Chimp! Never realised its was so GORY! My word, that screen shot is a work of art in itself lol......... not that im a huowge gore fan, but what a BLOODY mess! The subject matter and style of game is a perfect match!

Been after it for a while, but with exchange rates the way they are now, I can't justify £60 for a Musou title.

I'd have at least thought someone here would have had a copy by now, so when is it going to appear in the sales thread?

Interesting bits of news coming out about this game.

The game itself shifted over half a million copies on pre-order, but presumably mainly on PS3, because the 360 version is already being sold for about half price.

This is possibly due to the crazy-long loading times. It takes about:
7 Seconds PS3 (HDD+BR)
8 Seconds PS3 (HDD+BR&DLC)
19 seconds XBOX360 (HDD)
38 seconds XBOX360 (HDD&DLC)
44 seconds XBOX360 (DVD)
62 seconds XBOX360 (DVD&DLC)

Full of the facts! If its coming out here soon, then there really is not need to import........ Importing for me is only reserved for games that wont come out for atleast 6 months or ever....... well until its been announced - as was teh case with Yakuza 3/4, etc........
