Dragon Quest Monster Battle Road Victory

I just love card battle games but theres not really been many on the Wii mostly on DS instead, but there finally one for me to get excited about. Based on a pretty popular card game, that has an arcade conterpart.

Gets bonus points as Hori have gone full out to replicate the arcade controller

    Hell yeah

Found real pics this time not a render, sweet. Although the thought of buying such a clunky beast for just one game might be too much for some, lol not me it's totally getting bought

Oh boy, I'd so love that. It'd go a treat next to my Kenshin Dragon Quest game!

I always wanted that one, thats the tv plug in one right? My friend had it, the sword was really nicely made. Nowdays they are almost impossible to find.

                That's the one.

I'm assuming that the sword hilt on this is used for a finishing move or something? Push it down to deliver a final strike? But what do you twist the handle for? Surely you don't torture some poor Slime by twisting the blade

Yup you guessed correctly you push down on the sword for your finishing move but the twisty handle i have no idea on yet, would seem a bit evil to twist it like you say. Hmm wonder what a slimes scream sounds like lol.

If you want to use your arcade cards on the Wii game, 200 points will get you the DSiWare scanner.

Yeah i saw that, i would be interested in getting the cards but seeing as most of them only come out of the machine itself, getting hold of them over here will be a nightmare. There are a few starter sets you can buy but most of them are out of the arcade. Saw a auction on yahoo for a full set of cards but the price was well over 15,000 yen and still hours to go.

I must admit i do love it when they combine real cards into the games. Makes it double the fun to collect for.

Never got to see the arcade version till now, it looks fun. Love the way the sword rises up from the machine, never knew the jewels on the blade glowed either i wonder if the hori controller replicates the jewels, held it up to the light to see inside but can't see anything in there.

Anyway a couple of vids to keep me going till my damn game turns up, been scanning cards into the ds using the color code scanner app while i wait. Built up quite a collection of card data ready to transfer to the game. Curses for it been so popular, it's like pokemon on speed.
