Slightly off topic but does anyone know where I can buy the new green super dpad 360 controller? Informations a bit scarce!

I saw the green controllers in my local Game last week. I thought they were meant to be a limited edition of some sort.

Game and Gamestation. Gamestation were doing £40 for controller plus charge pack.

I've cracked one open, the only difference is less rigid rubber pads underneath, although that does improve things. The previously reported 32 directions is obviously tosh.

Why they don't just roll this update out generally I don't know, have a feeling they probably will. Seems the new US red controller pack doesn't have the fix all the same.

Being greeted by some very OTT intro cutscene... "Welcome to the New Xbox Experience"

First things i've noticed (having literally just done it) it signs in a LOT quicker.

Just made my avatar... that took longer than I thought, haha.

And here it is:



The Game part now is amazing! You click it and all the games are there straight away! No waiting for them to load for like 2 minutes!

I was hoping that waiting for the guide blade to pop up would be a thing of the past, and it looks like it is. The second you press the button it pops up, takes about 1 second to load the text onto the box but it pops right in. Then a button press and it's gone! Magic!

This is weird as hell, I'm so used to seeing the gray screen with that specific sound when going down my achievement list. These also load instantly.

Really impressed by this so far, looks a lot nicer on my TV than the old dash did too.

Just tried a new feature "Quick play" Loads games right from the current game you're playing. So I was on fallout 3, and pressed for the banjo demo. Took about 5-8 seconds and it was on the banjo loading screen, no flashes of the dash or anything etc.

1 word for this dash update- SPEED! Good job Microsoft (so far )
