I was thinking that.
Other reason maybe the size of the storage space used for the dash on the console it self. plain and simple seems to be faster.

I'd love to be able to change the colour scheme, the white it too in-your-face especially for pop-ups like the friends list.

I also really dislike the sound effects, particularly for typing on the keyboard. It sounds rubbish compared to the old effects. I understand they're trying to streamline the look for kinect and to align with other businesses but they still need to understand the consumer is the most important thing in this. More power please, more options.

I'm actually tempted to purchase the Your Shape Unitard, just so I can watch said animations as my character looks like Andy Serkis acting for LOTR

I've just noticed you can't change your storage device any more when you download items from the Marketplace. I actually used to use this option.

One other really rubbish element of this new update I just noticed - you can now only rate games in the Marketplace, which means that games will be rated far less often now. If they had any brains, they'd have increased the functionality of this feature (let you look at friends best rated games for example) rather than limiting it.

Only just updated to this. My initial impression is one of mild shock. It's like going from a 512 colour monitor to 64 colour or something. It's totally lo-fi.

If it's faster I support the move, however. We'll see.

I can't really say its much better for voice chat, while it probably sounds a bit better it seems to cut out all the time and party chat is as unreliable as ever.

I am used to it just about, after I turned off the plinky plonk sound effects. I am sure whoever made it has a great career at fisher price.

It still annoys me that you can no longer select a storage device before initiating a download.

We use party chat alot with 6 people while playing CoD and it never cuts out or crashes so no problems with that part of it here.
