I think a game only deserves a 10 if I can stick it in no matter what my mood is and still enjoy it...

So with that rule in mind my list of 10s looks like this

Fear Effect 1 or 2
Tekken 6

Any top ten 10/10 games that includes the two vastly over-rated Fear Effects and the two other games for that matter isn't meant to be taken seriously. At least I hope not.

Quake 2 (PC) - this was gaming crack when I first got online with my poor 56k modem.

Super MarioKart (SNES) - I think this is actually the best game ever made.

Counter-strike (PC) - both regular and Source.

Tetris (GB) - I think this was handheld perfection.

Pro Evo Soccer 5 (PC) - had everything. A decent game engine, relatively lag-free and in-game chat. How all versions have gone downhill since this.

Pinball Action (Arcade) - my curveball but also my most played arcade game.


Lots of other GREAT games out there but these have a fond place in my memory as being just totally unforgettably brilliant.

Ive thought long and hard about this. For me, a game that is top 10 quality has to be Timeless (in that you can pick it up and play it an any point and still enjoy it), Nostalgic (it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling when you play it because you can remember how much time you put in to it the 1st time you played it) and have an overwhelming quality that shows its had some real effort and love put into it at the development stage...so...
