Maybe they weren't the best RPGs around or the better known, but the Summon Night series had its fair share of followers and some of the non-RPG spinoffs were also fun to play.

Flight Plan has closed down and right now there are no news if Banpresto will keep the franchise alive.

Damn, no DS/3DS Swordcraft stories.

That said, I have to wonder how much of the sales of the first GBA game in the west got boosted because you could play as a girl and have a (female) partner who was desperate to marry you...

A lot of RPG studios are struggling at the moment, seems the only consistently profitable platform for RPG development is the PSP at the moment. Konami announced they're getting 40% of their revenue from PSP sales.

Think things will pick up now all the studios are shifting focus to PS3 (and the PS3 is starting to gain ground).
