    Non Motion controlled Wii games

Have been flirting with the idea of getting a Wii for the odd tennis malarky but was wondering is the Wii ONLY worth getting for motion controlled games or is there a lot of support for the Wii Classic controller to play "normal" games too?

Could I get one and invest in a classic controller or two and actually collect a lot of decent titles? What are the AAA non motion controlled based titles?

Muramasa, Monster Hunter Trii, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus (be sure to get the Plus version), Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn are the first games coming to my mind that can be played without motion controls even if they have some.

Ok, I'm gonna sound like a Sony PR person now but if you're after another console so you can play the odd bit of motion gaming but want to know what non-motion proper games are around would a PS3 + Move not be a better option nowadays? They have the Sports stuff sorted and there's plenty of proper games available already.

Already got a 360 and PS3 which is why my mind was wondering over to the Wii. Is it not much cop as a conventianal console then?

In fairness, the Wii isn't all Wii Sports and waggle, there are more than enough games of 'depth' to justify a purchase.

Looking at my own collection, I really do rate Resident Evil: Umbrellla Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles, Dead Space Extraction, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Galaxy, House of the Dead... thing is, most of these games do use motion control to some extent. However, motion control doesn't have to be on two feel and exhausting on your limbs, I'd say the above are quite discrete and 'restrained' in their application of it.

                  For my Wii I have:

                  Monster Hunter - very good
                  Metroid Trilogy - awesome
                  Mario Galaxy 2 - awesome

And yet it Moves - good wiiware title

I'm pretty happy with it I guess but only because it's my 2nd console. There really isn't all that much out for it IMO

A Boy and His Blob uses the Classic Controller too.

I think No More Heroes 2 has the option to play using the classic controller, though the original NMH is still one of the best examples of motion control used properly.

Did the Plus version get released in Pal land? Think i have the standard Accent Core Pal release. Is the Plus version significantly better then?

In addition to those mentioned, I really like: Geometry Wars Galaxies, Punch-Out!!, Super Smash Bros Brawl and Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Plus you have the GC library, Wiiware and VC stuff. I think it's worth having a Wii, personally, but very much as a secondary console. My 360 gets loads more play time.

Other games that can use CC/Pro:

                            Sin and Punishment 2
                            Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces
                            Zangeki no Reginreiv
                            Super Robot Taisen NEO
                            Endless Ocean - Blue World
