Heh... I actually ran this avatar (see below) on Court Records when the first Layton game came out, and I brought it back for the third one being released in the West... little did I know this crossover was going to be announced shortly thereafter

I don't care I didn't win £100 odd million on the Euromillions because of this! Looks like I've found my reason to buy a 3DS sooner rather than later!

Had to lol at that. Layton titles have all been massive sellers in the west so far, can't see them not localising it.

I can't see ANY professor layton stuff not making it to the west.

It's like Square saying they'll only localise FF15 if the fans want it

Not to pour cold water on this or anything, but I'm slightly sceptical about how this will work from the POV of the game-dynamics of both franchises being very, very different.

Obvious star-quality of Nick & Layton aside, how can their two worlds be combined successfully to make a coherent game?

I suspect this will end up as a Layton game with Phoenix Wright characters in it for the most part, with a few courtroom scene bits.
