    Halo: Combat Evolved in hd?

I see there's a lot of talk of this over da internetz. Rumours are it uses the Gaylo Reach around engine and will be released in march. Tru fax or bow-lox? I for one would welcome it with achievements and live support etc

Would be a cheap way for MS to fill their pretty empty looking exclusives list for 2011 so wouldn't say it wouldn't happen. Not that fussed though as most of the Halo's are nigh on remakes as it is, especially Halo 3

It's probably about right, what better thing to let 343 create than a remake. Good way to practice and some easy money.

TBH I'm surprised there hasn't been a straight XBLA port with Cheeves made yet

Still think Halo 1 is head and shoulders the best in the series (at least in terms of the single player).

Big open levels with lots of flexibility and perfect weapon balance. Dual wielding seemed to spoil the combat mechanics.

          Correct sir.

They should of just done this in the first place.

If Halo really is Star Wars for a new generation, they need to get cracking on re-releasing each game in the series a bazillion times over

They should develop and release Halo 2's multiplayer component as a Live Arcade title. Battlefield 1943 proved this sort of game works and it's Halo 2, possibly the game that launched Live to the masses.

You mean Moto GP wasn't Xbox Live's killer app?

I'd quite enjoy playin Combat Evolved with online co-op.

The multiplayer would seem like such a backwards step from the other games if they left it the same, otherwise it's just going to be reach multiplayer without any of the fun stuff.

Whatever happens, everyone is gonna bitch if it does come out that it is DIFFERENT

I've seen no news about this at all, any links for this information?

this would be too good to be true. i would buy it just to have full screen online campaign co-op!

but this is no more than wishful thinking, rumours of a Halo remake exist since the days of Halo 3.

Can't you just run the PC version in an HD resolution?
Or by HD were people meaning higher quality textures etc?
