Odd both Edge and GamesTM have come down on this Layton game, when the general consensus is that it's the best in the series so far (and I agree). By far the lowest mark I've seen for it.

You wanna be careful saying that, I dared to call MMA wrestling only to get about a 30 minute lecture about how superior it is to wrestling due to encorporating so many fighting styles blah blah blah blaaaaaaah lol

It will be interesting to see why they think Prof Layton is not as good as the last one. I personally think its the best one yet.

I have only played a few hours of The Lost Future (unwound was too complicated for us europeans...), and so far I'm a bit torn. On one hand, the story is pretty decent. More engaging than the separete game, but not quite up there with the first - at least not so far. At the same time the puzzles feel too samey. I feel as if most of the puzzles i encounter are of the "Four men are wearing different outfits. One of them is not wearing pants. Two are wearing the same hat. All of them have a green piece of clothing... What colour is the shirt of person B?" variety (poor example, I know). By that I mean puzzles where you are given a few lines of clues regarding three or four people, and have to figure which of them is the "right one". Whereas the last games had a lot more variety.
But it's still early. Plenty of time for the game to amaze me.
