I've nabbed this post from another forum (thanks to DAIS on SB), but I thought it was fascinating enough to debate here too (the SB topic de-evolved into an argument on white guilt, of all things).
It would seem the 3DS has made Level 5 change its graphical style for Fantasy Life. In a way, it's kind of Mother 3 in reverse. M3 started off as Polygons on the 64DD and then went sprites for the GBA, and this has done the opposite.
Personally, I quite like both styles, but I don't like the idea that companies will radically alter their modus operandi to suit the money train of new hardware.
