Previously downloaded "Games on Demand" titles on other region consoles

If you have a GoD title on your 360 HDD, will this be subjected to the same region lockouts that the disc release will be? I've done a bit of searching, but the focus is always on IP addresses or using the wrong region console to download it.

Has anyone any experience with this? I'm thinking about trying to use a JP proxy to get Mamoru-kun and shooting love off XBL, on to my J-360 and possibly use it on a UK machine if need be through using my HDD from the J-360.

I would fully expect the region coding to be present in the exact same way on the games on demand.
The titles are IP locked to stop people downloading them erroneously and then not being able to play them I'm guessing

It's not actually the disc itself that is region coded normally, the but the main executable file that starts the game.

On the original xbox this information would carry across even if you installed it to a HDD and you would be unable to play another region game unless your console was running in a region free mode.

Good to know I'll still give it a go at downloading through a proxy though. I'll just play it on the Jap machine.

Remember you will have to be connected on live to play it on a different machine to the one it was downloaded on.
