In the ds game he has a leaf over his wang but in the comic he runs around with knob on full show, uses a marker pen to draw clothes on but it's still there

Yup, distubing & funny in equal amounts. I love how it goes hyper detailed in certain bits. Bit like ren & stimpy used to do.

Im still amazed that this strip is in corocoro, seeing as it's aimed at shounen kids (15 & under)




If only the game can replicate the feel of the manga, have Charles to thank for this one as i had no idea this was even turned into a ds game.

Awesome looking source material aside, the game kinda looks like any of the other dozens of bland licenced Bandai platformers.

Cheers for the heads up Papercut, tried the demo off the everyones nintendo channel. Yup only a single level but i enjoyed it. Then again i knew i would as this kind of stuff presses all the right buttons for me. Probably helps that im familiar with the corocoro comic strip it is basedfrom. Love the sprites they are drawn lovely & well animated, giggled like a fool at the toilet humor.

Nope cant agree on it looking bland though, if you want to accuse anyone of creating bland software look at Nintendo they have released some dull platformers. The last 2 decent ones they did that i enjoyed were Yoshi's island ds & super princess peach. New super mario bros & that kirby one with the mice were total wank (lol, yes really). In fact i have enjoyed more 3rd party platform games on the ds that ones coming from Nintendo.

Super princess peach was ok, but faaaar to easy. I didn't even need any of the powerups from the shop.

Bandai have churned out loads of games where if you simply replaced the sprites of identifiable characters, you could be playing a game featuring any shounen franchise

Main menu after starting (well pressing up, as the game says theres no start button lol)

はじめから (New game)
つづきから (Continue)
データのさくじょ (Erase data) You'll be asked about 4 times if you really want to delete lol
たいけんばんをプレゼント (Demo Present)
ふくびき (Lottery)

The (demo present) is if you want to send the demo that was on the nintendo channel to someone elses ds so they can try it out, every time you send the demo out to a ds you get a lottery ticket. You use those in the lottery to win different hairstyles.


Ok after selecting a game file slot there will be 3 more options

ゲームをはじめる (Game start)
ミニゲーム (Minigame) The minigames are boss levels so they appear after beating a boss
タイトルにもどる (Return to the title screen)

On the map if you press the start button you get 4 options (left to right, top to bottom)
ヘア コレクション (Hair collection)
もどる (Back)
データのかんり (Data options?)
ゲームをやめる (Exit game)

In データのかんり it seems to relate to copying your game save to another slot theres 2 options.

データのほぞん (copy data) select slot you want to copt data to
データのよびだし (????) i thought this one was delete but it's not & i have no idea

If you press start while in a level you get the following 4 options

ヘア コレクション (Hair collection)
もどる (Back)
ステージをぬける (Exit level)
ゲームをやめる (Exit game)

The different hairstyles you find do have some functions, depending on which one it is they give you extra abilities like higher jump or the dash gauge lasts longer ect.. others add sound effects & others are just for looks alone.
