I prefer JSRF to the original. Atmospherically it's just a more interesting experience for me. And as mentioned before, the removal of the time limits meant I could freely wallow about the game's world as I played.
The one thing I do regret is the fact the analogue spraying found in the original was taken away. As C' pointed out, it really added to the tension when you were trying to spray a tag, with the police bearing down on your neck. I think the original is clearer in terms of its vision, but I just found JSRF that bit slightly more compelling and hypnotic in comparison.
However, both titles overall are absolutely superb. An excellent series that's turned out to be one of the freshest developed over the past five years or so.
