Space Raiders on the GC

I'm on the brink of buying this. It seems like just good old fashioned fun (3d space invaders if you want). Has anyone played it?

The few impressions I can find are positive. The few magazine reviews weren't (but i'd expect that of a space invaders clone).

Its fun but not exceptional. nice old school shooting though.

I have the GCN version, but the visuals are standard PS2 fare. You may as well pick up the pal Ps2 budget release. No idea if it has 60Hz though.

I heard the ps2 version has some strange probs (jpn that is). I've ordered the JPN version on GC from Venom though so woo!

Plus this is a game my girl will love.

No 60hz option on the PAL version I'm afraid, though to be fair, the 50hz display is fairly decent and seems to play fast enough.

Does the GC version have a 10-second loading pause between each wave of enemies?
Thats the only thing which bugs me about the game.

I think that what I ment to say - I just couldnt think of the right word at the time. (Mental Block I guess )

I'd still like to know what this major difference between the PS2 and GC version is that makes the GC version good and the PS2 version total rubbish.....
Anyone?

From what I have read - The animation is 100% smooth on the GC but a bit jittery on the PS2. That seems to be the main gripe. And longer loading times.
