Whats the difference between photo mode and photo travel mode?

I can only find the travel mode

Photo mode is avaliable in replays, the Photo travel mode is excatly the same but in custom locations around the world.

My first contribution to this thread! I was actually able to recover from this one, but later on in the lap I rolled over completely

The photo wasn't quite as dramatic though.
