Looks nice. Unreal Engine 3 was used on Gear of War and UT3 so why are they shouting about it now?

Wonder if it's anything to do with the fact that they want to start rolling out UE3 games on Iphone/Ipod. They've got a tech demo on the app store already.

UE3 is ongoing with new features. Most of the named tech at the end there looks pretty new to me, they didn't have most of that when I was playing around in the editor doing UT3 maps - I had to emulate lightning and rain, and it didn't look anywhere near as good as that!

So they're showing off the newer features they've added. Cascaded shadow maps really interested me, a shame they don't apply the advances retroactively to UT3

Oic. Wonder why they didn't call it UE4 then? Anyway, cool stuff. Looked really nice. I hear Dennis Dyak has signed up already.
