As for the issue, very good, however, unlike the rest of you, i happened to dislike the cover, the silver was good, but then again the actual Ferrari looked like someone had whacked a sticker on there, but mistakenly placed it slightly wonky.
The contents were ok, but the general mood in the gaming world is one that bores me a bit at the moment, so the reviews were a bit of a letdown, but that ain't Gtm's fault. The articles, they were a mixed bag really, well written, but then again stating the bloody obvious, and just seemed like they were wasting both your time in writing them and our time in reading them. But, m'eh, what can you do?
My biggest letdown with regards to GTM though is that on the contacts page, the letters are never directly tackled, and are to an extent 'fobbed off' with a reply that not only doesn't answer the correspondant's question but also seems to miss the point of the letter entirely. It might just be me, but i get the feeling that is why there are hardly any letters worth printing, and you had to resort to the fanboy nonesense of the last few months.
Also, i want free gifts, chuppa chups for preference - if not, anything inflatable.

It's difficult to write a feature that hasn't been written elsewhere before, how many times can you inform gamers about importing for example? The only way to make a feature worthwhile is to react to the current situation, but sadly the current situation could have past before the feature is even started.
I'd like to write a feature about the state of play in the UK arcade scene, but I doubt I could say anything that isn't already known.

That's what the "m'eh", was for.I have to agree though, in terms of originality, with the prevailence of the 'net it is very difficult to broach new and exciting topics. However, the recent GTM was a little obvious. In the article about character design there could have been all manner of anecdotes from the games industry about where the ideas for the look of certain characters came from or what the design process is for various luminaries, however, all that was really examined was recognisable silouettes being a contributing factor to success, the failiure of certain characters to make a mark as they are generic and Lara Croft's Pneumatic chest.
I'm not saying it wasn't a good article, just that there could have been more to it if they had let it go that way. Of course though, the article is designed to be not only read, but also understood by all readers not just those who have heard it all before, but then again that's the danger of writing on the whole, but with gtm's stance as a more highbrow gaming mag, i think some concessions were made when there needn't have been.

Boktai is amazin n that score seems spot on i have only played the first level or so, cus my game boy SP is in another part of the country. But it is very original n fun to play, parts remind me alot of MGS with all the sneakin around. One thing that is frustrating though is that here in England it always rains so fat chance of gettin any sun.

I'd like columns from some other countries, actually. It'd be interesting to know what was "current" in Brazil, China, or Tanzania.
